About the Author


Chrys Chryssanthou is a physician and professorial lecturer at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He received his MD from the Aristotelian University, Greece. He pursued postgraduate studies in New York and attended special courses at Harvard Medical School and Hahneman Medical College. The Autonomous University of Guadalajara, Mexico, conferred upon him the title of professor extraordinario, and he received an honorary diploma from the Medical School of Lima, Peru.

He conducted extensive medical research and published over one hundred articles in scientific journals and books. His work was internationally acclaimed, and NBC-TV and Panamerican Television interviewed him on prime time.

As visiting professor, he lectured and gave courses in many academic institutions in the United States and abroad.

Dr. Chryssanthou was also very active in the field of literature. He served as editor of the Greek literary periodical Pyrsos (torch) and contributed a lot of prose and poetry to books, journals, and magazines. In the last decade, he published the books “Cries and Whispers” and “The Secret Message of the Rooster” in New York.

He was honored with several medals, awards, and distinctions for his scientific and literary accomplishments.
